ASSIST-IoT Open Call – Funding opportunity!
The 1st ASSIST-IoT Open Call is still open! ASSIST-IoT Open Call aims at funding innovative proposals that will enhance ASSIST-IoT objectives framed within one (out of its three) pilot(s). In particular, Open Call proposals are expected to address one specific challenge out of a list of possible challenges formulated by each pilot. Third parties are expected to come along and carry out relevant actions during the project’s life cycle. You may submit your proposal up to 28 February 2022 17:00 CET. The 1st ASSIST-IoT Open Call is officially announced and starts at 1st of November! The ASSIST-IoT project has reserved part of the project budget to fund specific activities in order to enhance and improve IoT features and applications and boost the NGIoT community across Europe. Third parties are expected to come along and carry out relevant actions during the project’s life cycle.
The latest NGIoT newsflash (Issue 2 – August 2021) is now available online. You may access it and learn all about the latest news, events and activities around IoT/EU-IoT community and research projects in Europe. The presence and the events organised by NGIoT, EU-IoT and rest ICT-56 EU projects during the IoT Week 2021 (30/8 – 3/9) are highlighted in this issue.
Are you a developer interested in Mobile Sustainable IoT solutions? The Cooperation and Support Action EU-IoT is organizing an online Hackathon (30 August 2021- EU-IoT Forum, co-located with IoT Week, Dublin) with focus on Mobile Sustainable IoT solutions to encourage developers, students, researchers to discuss, cooperate and develop open-source solutions focused on the EU-IoT scope area : tactile Internet/Human-centric interfaces); Near/Far edge aspects; Infrastructure; Data spaces.
Carlos Guardiola from from Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) took part and presented in the NGIoT Thematic Workshop: Automotive Industries and Mobility that took place on June 15th virtually.
The Next Generation Internet of Things (NGIoT) initiative is a growing community of projects and related initiatives at work to maximise the power of IoT made in Europe. NGIoT works to lower the barrier for adoption and development of IoT-empowered solutions, by supporting business models, innovation and skills. In a “network of network” ecosystem, NGIoT consists of ongoing projects and upcoming funding opportunities at work for a human-centric and sustainable digital transition.
The European Technology Platform ALICE is set-up to develop a comprehensive strategy for research, innovation and market deployment of logistics and supply chain management innovation in Europe. The platform will support and assist and advise the European Commission into the implementation of the EU Program for research: Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe in the area of Logistics.
Marcin Paprzycki from SRIPAS (ASSIST-IoT partner) presented “Introduction to Federated Learning” in the EU-IoT Training Workshops Series: AIoT and Edge Machine Learning – Unleashing the Power of IoT Analytics at the Edge – on Friday May 21, 2021. This was an online event organised by NGIoT/EU-IoT as part of the EU-IoT Training Workshops Series.
