ASSIST-IoT Workshop Presentation

“Joining research forces and create the future of ports and maritime based on data-driven services: Defining the Strategy” Workshop
DataPorts will organise a workshop titled “Joining research forces and create the future of ports and maritime based on data-driven services: Defining the Strategy” at the DataWeek22: https://data-week-2022.b2match.io/components/20122

In this workshop, H2020 projects DataPorts, ASSIST-IoT Project, CYRENE Project and Vessel AI will be presented. ASSIST-IoT project will be represented by our Project Coordinator Carlos-Enrique Palau Salvador from UPV.
This workshop takes one new step on the topic of the workshop that was held in DataWeek 2021: “Unleashing the potential of ports and maritime logistics via data-driven solutions: Opportunities and Challenges”. In this edition, entitled: “Joining research forces and create the future of ports and maritime based on data-driven services: Defining the Strategy”, the progress and achievement performed since the last year in DataPorts and ASSIST-IoT projects will be presented. In addition, two new projects, Cyrene and VesselAI, will be joining forces in an attempt to define the strategy for data-driven services in the seaports and maritime of the future.

This workshop elaborates how data-driven services and applications (including AI-based cognitive solutions) can help stakeholders in the logistics, ports, and maritime sectors to improve their operations. It will also help identify and understand the challenges that must be addressed to facilitate adoption of these solutions. Thereby, this workshop focuses on industrial data spaces and platforms, with a focus on transport and logistics, as one key vertical sector of European importance.
