The 6G-IA, which is proud to have more than 110 SME members, is driving 6G research in Europe. Together with the European Commission, the 6G-IA is running the 6G Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS-JU). This major research program will invest at least 1.8 billion Euros over its eight-year timeframe and aims to bring technological leadership to Europe in the vital area of 6G. In the context of the SNS-JU and the previous 5G research program 5G-PPP, the 6G-IA has been active in trying to ensure a high SME participation. ASSIST-IoT
The 5th ASSIST-IoT GA meeting and the second face-to-face meeting took place on October 2022, in CIOP-PIB’s premises in Warsaw. The meeting lasted for three days (19th -21st October) and was held in two parallel tracks, focusing the discussion on several technical activities/tasks and on more general aspects such as impact, Open Calls, and pilots’ status. Partners also had the chance to visit a construction site in Lodz and see details about the implementation phase.
ASSIST-IoT
The BIM visualisation functionality relies on the loading of the BIM model in a way that can be visualized through the MR device. The OSH inspector can manipulate the most-updated BIM model at each location, reviewing the overall progress of the building as well as the dangerous zones.
Safety at the construction site will be also increased by additional control of access to restricted zones, ensuring that only workers with relevant permissions, and valid safety trainings have access to dangerous locations.
