ASSIST-IoT Technical Report #3, entitled “Tactile Internet in Internet of Things Ecosystems” by ASSIST-IoT partners Ignacio Lacalle, Cesar Lopez, Rafael Vano, Carlos E. Palau, Manuel Esteve, Maria Ganzha, Marcin Paprzycki and Pawel Szmeja has been published. The aim of this contribution is twofold. First, to summarize the state-of-the-art in the area of Tactile Internet. Second, to outline based on pilots of the ASSIST-IoT project, an architecture needed to realize Tactile Internet in Internet of Things ecosystems.

The European Technology Platform ALICE is set-up to develop a comprehensive strategy for research, innovation and market deployment of logistics and supply chain management innovation in Europe. The platform will support and assist and advise the European Commission into the implementation of the EU Program for research: Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe in the area of Logistics.
Marcin Paprzycki from SRIPAS (ASSIST-IoT partner) presented “Introduction to Federated Learning” in the EU-IoT Training Workshops Series: AIoT and Edge Machine Learning – Unleashing the Power of IoT Analytics at the Edge – on Friday May 21, 2021. This was an online event organised by NGIoT/EU-IoT as part of the EU-IoT Training Workshops Series.
ASSIST-IoT Technical Report #2, entitled ““Sunday-FL – Developing Open Source Platform for Federated Learning” by ASSIST-IoT partners Piotr Niedziela, Anastasiya Danilenka, Dominik Kolasa, Maria Ganzha, Marcin Paprzycki, Kumar Nalinaksh has been published. As per its abstract, since its inception, in approximately 2017, federated learning became an area of intensive research. Obviously, such research requires tools that can be used for experimentation.
Marcin Paprzycki from SRIPAS, ASSIST-IoT partner, represented ASSIST-IoT project as a key note speaker in the International Conference on Computational Science – ICCS 2021 (30 April 2021, India). A lecture-presentation entitled “ASSIST-IoT: Introduction to Federated Learning” was made online during Parallel Session 1 on the 30th of April 2021.
